I write about saving money in everyday life, whether it be frugal recipes, DIY household tips, online shopping, or anything else that help save people money!

I have been blogging since 2009.

Yes, I wrote a 2 part series called “Supermarket Smarts” covering marketing tactics used by stores to get the consumer buying more.

What inspired you to start a blog?
When I started couponing about 10 years ago, I did so primarily to save a little money. In 2009, when things became really tough for my family, I began couponing heavily. I think one day, I just woke up and realized that saving money isn’t limited to using coupons, so I began researching and educating myself on all the other ways to save money. By the time I retrained myself on how to spend less and save more, people were chomping at the bit to know how I was doing it. That is when The Savings Momma was born.
How many children do you have?
I have 2, age 2 & 7
Why did you join Boston Parent Bloggers?
I was looking for a network of parent bloggers, geographically close to me to keep in touch with. Living on Cape Cod, well…..it’s an experience, but there aren’t any resources for bloggers. My passion is blogging, and really the only “extra curricular” thing I get to enjoy so I figured it would be great to connect with other bloggers close to where I live.
What are some of your favorite blogging platforms, plugins and/or tools?
Honestly, I am such a tech-wimp. I have a wonderful IT lady who helps me with all the technical bits 🙂 Don’t know what I would do without her!
