Boston Parent Bloggers is a group for folks in the Boston area who are interested in sharing ideas and resources. It’s a chance for new and seasoned bloggers to experience a sense of local community. It’s also an opportunity for us to leverage our collective influence in the blogging arena. The group is open to bloggers, vloggers and podcasters who are local to the Boston area (Would you drive to Boston for an event? If yes, you’re close enough!) and who focus on issues of importance to parents and families. It is not a venue to advertise services or for self-promotion.
About the Founders:
Christy Matte
Christy Matte is a Boston-area freelance writer, consultant and speaker, as well as the work-at-home mom of two preschoolers. She has an undergraduate background in anthropology and computer science and a M.Ed. with a focus on technology in education. An avid techie, Christy has been blogging since 2001 and currently maintains blogs at Quirky Fusion and More than Mommy. She’s also the Family Computing Guide at About.com and a mobile app reviewer at Common Sense Media. She enjoys public speaking and has presented at events as far as China and New Zealand. Most recently, she appeared at Blissdom, CES and Engage Expo.
When not writing, Christy can be found reading, watching bad reality TV and playing video games. She enjoys connecting through social media and can be found on Twitter and LinkedIn. With her background in education and non-profit work, it should be no surprise that she enjoys helping new bloggers gain their footing. She’s pretty sure her kids are following in her footsteps and will be launching their own tell-all blog as soon as they can spell.

Jodi Grundig
A mom of two with an MBA in finance and over ten years of corporate finance experience, Jodi Grundig is a sought-after brand ambassador, travel writer, mom blogger and brand consultant.
Jodi, a Boston-area mom, has been invited on a variety of brand events and media junkets from brands such as ConAgra, Stouffers, Johnson and Johnson, Genesis Today, Honda, and TJMaxx/Marshalls. An avid traveler and travel blogger, Jodi has attended many media familiarization trips (FAMs), including trips to Hawaii, Freeport, Maine, Lake George, NY, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and Martha’s Vineyard, prompting her to start her latest blog, Family Travel Magazine.
Jodi has been blogging since 2007, when she founded the popular mom review blog Mom’s Favorite Stuff. In 2010, she co-founded Boston Parent Bloggers, which now has over 150 members. Jodi is currently a featured mom blogger on KMart’s Playdate Spot and was featured on ConAgra’s ClubMum.net. Over the past few years, she’s been a spokesmom/ambassador for ConAgra foods, a Totsy Moms Committee member, managing editor of The Parenting Connection, and an ambassador for Aveeno. She also served two years on the popular Walt Disney World Moms Panel, and is a member of the Yahoo! Mother Board.
